Course Maintenance
Please remember that it is our responsibility to help maintain the golf course every time we tee it up. We should always leave the course in better shape than it was when we first set foot on it. If we all truly adhere to this concept, we will enjoy great conditions all year long. Parkland Golf and Jon Semmig, our Superintendent, are doing a phenomenal job, but we need to assist them by remembering to do the following each time we play:
ALWAYS RAKE BUNKERS AFTER USING THEM.
REPLACE DIVOTS or USE SAND & SEED MIX.
If your divot is a in-tact and substantial, replace it (in the proper direction if possible) and step down on it. If the divot is lost or disintegrated, fill the divot using the sand bottles on the golf cart.
REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS
Fix yours and at least one other. Watch this video for the proper way to fix ballmarks.
USE PROPER DIVOT PATTERN ON THE DRIVING RANGE
Watch the video below for a great tutorial on how to pattern your divots on the range.
PERFORMING THE ABOVE TASKS CONSISTENTLY WILL HELP LEAVE THE COURSE IN THE BEST POSSIBLE CONDITION FOR YOUR FELLOW MEMBERS... AND THEY SHOULD BE DOING THE SAME FOR YOU.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation,
Tim McAuley, Head Professional
